About The Award

Established in 2018 by former Brush High School soccer player, Frank Fantozzi (Class of 81’), the Brush High School Soccer Alumni Award recognizes the positive role the team sport of soccer can have in building character, teamwork and leadership skills among young men and women. The award is presented each fall to a deserving senior soccer player on each of the Brush High School men’s and women’s team.

Award Qualifications and Guidelines:

To be considered for the award, senior varsity soccer players  must have a 2.0 GPA or higher  and  submit an original, personal essay. This original essay must describe how playing soccer with the Brush High School soccer team has contributed to their individual growth, and how they believe this experience will contribute to their future as productive citizens, community members and  leaders.

Essays should be 750-1250 words in length and will be judged by the officers of the Brush Alumni Soccer Award Committee. One male and one female soccer player will be recognized annually. The 2019 Brush Alumni Soccer Award is $500 for each senior player and will be presented at the respective men’s and women’s Senior Night, Fall of 2019. Essays should be received by email,  Monday, September 16, 2019 via a PDF attachment to Info@BrushAlumniAward.org
